The 4 foot (1,2 m) by 4 foot (1,2 m) precision ground steel plate is mounted to square rail linear guide bearings. The system travels 9 feet (3 m) and is mounted to a stress relieved steel structure. This motorized linear actuator and table is driven by a ball screw drive system and a servo motor is used to control the system movements. |
